NDCC Mailing List Information

Hi everyone,

As you may have noticed, I have put a mailing list on the website so members can register with their email address and receive information via email about the club activities, competitions and other general news about the club.

How does it work? When you have registered your email address, your email will be put on to a database with every other club members. Soon you will be able to have access to the emailing client which will allow you to write 1 email and when the send button is pressed, the email will be sent to all the email addresses in the database. This is a great way for all club members to interact with each other to tell everyone about news and events going on at the club.

An example where this would be useful would be if a Nailsea team has been playing in a league match and wants to let all the club members how they got on, all they have to do is come on this website, go on to the mailing list, type in the scores and press the send button. This results will then be sent to all club members who email addresses are registered on the email client. You can also use this for social events like a book sell is happening on the 19th April or (for Kathy) want to remind people of up and coming club competitions.

I will be obviously be pass wording this section of the website so no non-member can send random emails. Only club members can send emails on this mailing list. When I have got it fully working I will be sending of the username and password to all club members
