This game is played with the same equipment as Association Croquet, lawn, hoops, balls and peg. It can be played as singles or doubles with one side using the blue and black balls, the other red and yellow. The hoops are run in the same order as Association Croquet. Each turn consists of one stroke. Play starts in the south east corner with hoop 1 being contested. When a hoop has been run the next hoop in order becomes everybody’s object of desire. The first side to score 7 points wins the game. It is unusual for a game of Golf Croquet to last more than one hour.
The tactics of Golf Croquet as less complex than Association Croquet, but it requires just as much skill. Accurate hitting and precisely controlled weight are at a premium.
