Where to stay

Local Accommodation

The B&Bs that are used quite a lot at our tournaments and seem to suit people are:

www.highdalebb.co.uk – 5 minutes drive from club. Well tried and tested and recommended by croquet players but no single rooms so quite pricey if travelling alone.

http://www.avonview.co.uk/index.html in Portishead 15+ minutes drive from club. 6 miles away. Beautiful house with views over the Severn estuary. Will take bookings for single use of a double room at very fair price – £50/per night in 2019

http://www.snipelandsbedandbreakfast.co.uk/  a pleasant 15 minute drive from the club. A lovely B&B with two ensuite double rooms

There are 3 travel lodges in Portishead:
1. Go2

Go2 is (above Lidl, next to Waitrose, and on the marina where there are numerous restaurants and bars). 15+ minutes drive from the club. The reviews suggest that deliveries to the supermarket below can be noisy in the mornings. It used to be Ibis Budget

2. Premier Inn

This Premier Inn hosts the local Brewers Fayre which can be found here:

Sainsburys adjacent. and Waitrose and marina 5 mins walk . 15+ minutes drive from club.

3. Welcome Break
https://hotels.welcomebreak.co.uk/hotel/ramada-bristol-west-m5/
at Junction 19 (with Services) of the M5 – closer to Nailsea but less pleasant site than the other travel lodges

Booking.com has other properties but most are quite expensive.

There are numerous Airbnbs in the area
